DIN571 Hex Head Lag Screw
DIN571 lag screw is a standardized heavy-duty wood fastener complying with German DIN 571 industrial standard, mainly exported to European market for all kinds of solid timber connection.
This screw adopts integrated forging molding from carbon steel, every dimension including head width, shank diameter, thread pitch and tip angle strictly follows DIN571 specification to guarantee interchangeability. The regular hexagon head supports socket wrench and torque spanner operation, which can apply larger tightening torque than slot or cross head wood screws, realizing firmer locking on thick lumber.
The front section is designed with deep coarse self-tapping wood thread and sharp conical tip, capable of cutting into solid wood directly without pre-drilling holes. The thread teeth bite deep into wood fiber, providing excellent anti-pull and anti-loosening capacity to bear heavy static load. The middle smooth unthreaded shank reduces friction during penetration and improves the fitting tightness between stacked wood boards.
Multiple surface treatment options are available: blue white zinc for indoor general use, yellow zinc for mild outdoor environment, hot dip galvanized for coastal and long-term exposed projects to extend service life. Stainless steel DIN571 lag screw is optional for corrosive humid scenes.
All finished DIN571 lag screws pass pull-out force, hardness and dimensional inspection before shipment, fully matching European construction hardware standards. Custom lengths and special surface treatments can be manufactured to fulfill bulk export orders for wooden engineering and furniture factories.
