railroad bolt spike
The railroad bolt spike is a dedicated threaded fastener for locking steel rails onto concrete, wooden and composite sleepers. It adopts an integrated square anti-slip head, one-piece pressure flange, stepped smooth shank and deep self-tapping spiral threads.
It is integrally forged from high-tensile carbon steel, featuring excellent pull-out resistance, shear strength and vibration fatigue resistance to withstand long-term dynamic impact and vibration from running trains. The whole spike is processed by hot-dip galvanizing, forming a thick and compact zinc protective layer that effectively resists rainwater erosion, snow corrosion and coastal salt mist, adapting to all kinds of outdoor railway operating environments.
The square head matches special railway wrenches to avoid slipping during installation and maintenance. The integrated flange evenly disperses pressure on rail base plates, preventing indentation and damage to sleeper surfaces. The stepped shank improves structural rigidity, while the wide and deep self-tapping threads bite tightly into sleeper materials without pre-drilling, providing stable anti-loosening clamping force that will not loosen under continuous dynamic loads.
Railroad bolt spikes are widely used in ordinary railways, high-speed passenger dedicated lines, underground subways and mine haulage tracks. Compared with traditional flat rail spikes, this bolt-type threaded structure has stronger holding force and is easier to disassemble and replace during track maintenance.
We provide full customized production solutions, adjustable spike length, shank diameter, thread pitch and galvanized layer thickness according to railway construction drawings. Laser marking of brand logos and bulk export packaging are supported for railway hardware suppliers and track engineering contractors.
Every batch of railroad bolt spikes will pass strict factory tests before delivery, including pull-out load test, material hardness test, zinc coating thickness detection and thread profile inspection, to ensure stable fastening performance and long service life under harsh outdoor track working conditions.
